Vera,
Dutch Translator & Project Manager

Vera wears two hats at Comunica – translator and project manager – which means no two days ever look the same. She thrives on variety, multitasking like a pro, and jumping in to help with tricky tasks when no one else can. She holds a Master’s Degree in Translation from the University of Groningen, and since joining the team, she’s transformed her work style into a well-oiled system (and she’s secretly quite proud of her growing organisational superpowers, too!).

Her desk is never without her quirky little banana figurine, and if she were an emoji, she’d happily be the frog – a nod to her love for these slippery little creatures. Outside of work, she recharges with long beach walks, good books, and the occasional deep dive into her favourite series, the Lord of the Rings. Oh, and don’t challenge her to a game of pool – she’s so good that, in another life, she’d have played it professionally.

Fueled by chamomile tea, green apples with peanut butter (or nachos, depending on the day), Vera brings humour, flexibility, and that special gezellig vibe to the Comunica family. If you ever find the team stranded on a desert island, you can count on her to keep spirits up — and probably quote some Tolkien along the way.
