About Me

From Idyllic Aalborg to Loud and Lively Andalusia

I grew up in Denmark’s fourth largest city, Aalborg, in the quaint and rural region of Jutland. It was here I developed both a profound love for my own country and culture, but also an itch to explore and a passion for languages. My interest in the written and spoken world eventually led me to Seville where I fell in love with Spain as I studied abroad – and with one Spaniard in particular, my husband Pablo. 

Twenty-plus years later, Spain is still my home, and it is here that I have made a career of bridging cultures and helping businesses expand across borders. I learned early on that my unique insights held value – and that this value could be used to facilitate cross-cultural exchanges and broker natural, productive and convincing communication between the Nordic Region and not just Spain, but all of Europe and, indeed, the world.

Today, Comunica itself has expanded across borders, with an office in Copenhagen that has brought me full circle back to Denmark and a corner of the world that never left my heart. Like the clients we help, my life and my company’s work are now truly transnational, and I continue to use my passion and my expertise to help connect the dots and transform language expertise into tangible value for countless companies.
