Martyna,
Project Manager
Martyna is our Norwegian Project Manager, and she thrives on the fact that no two days are ever the same. One moment she’s assisting with projects, the next she’s jumping in as a translator, happily getting stuck in and solving problems. Her special talent is that she’s a fast learner – give her something new, and she’ll be ‘on it!’ before you’ve even finished explaining. Nothing makes her feel more like a rock star than smoothing out projects so everything runs seamlessly, or swooping in to resolve an issue a tricky problem on the linguist’s end. Over the past few months, she’s also mastered the art of time management, which means she now has a sixth sense for what really needs to be tackled first.
Martyna has a Master’s Degree in Translation and Technical Communication from the University of Agder in Norway, and she spent a year abroad studying at the University of Nebraska in Omaha where she sharpened her ear for the nuances of American English. Her desk always has a little touch of sweetness: a teddy bear souvenir from the Alps, keeping her company through busy days. When she needs a pick-me-up, she reaches for tea (her non-negotiable morning ritual) and jellies, her ultimate guilty-pleasure snack.
Outside of work, Martyna loves to unwind with walks alongside her dog, or by feeding her passion for live music and the thrill of F1 racing. If she could teleport anywhere for lunch, she’d skip the queues and head straight to her favourite sushi restaurant. And if life were a movie, she’d no doubt find herself in something energetic and dynamic, full of music, colour, and unexpected turns – just like her.
Her favourite memory with the team goes back to the very beginning: her very first week as an intern in the Comunica office in Spain. Everyone was so welcoming and warm that she instantly felt at home, setting the tone for everything that came after. From that very first week to now, Martyna has become an indispensable part of the team – always ready with a quick solution, a cheerful ‘on it!’, and maybe a jelly or two tucked away for later.
