Hanna,
Swedish Translator
Hanna is the steady heartbeat of Swedish translations at Comunica. She loves the variety of her work – from travel texts that transport readers to faraway destinations, to the everyday challenges that keep her learning something new. Her special talent is her ability to always keep cool as a cucumber, even when juggling multiple tasks or battling yet another round of tech troubles (her only weak spot!).
Hanna grew up in the Swedish city of Örebro but moved to Málaga in 2011, where she lives today. She holds a degree in Translation Studies from the University of Gothenburg and besides Spain and Sweden, she has also spent time living in Dublin. Her motto, ‘It will work out somehow,’ isn’t just a catchphrase – it’s the way she navigates work and life, bringing reassurance and balance to the team.
When she’s not polishing words, Hanna might be found at the gym, playing piano, or spending time with her family. She thrives on coffee, chocolate and sunshine walks, and has the uncanny ability to remember song lyrics from years ago (perfect for her go-to karaoke choice: ‘I Want It That Way’ by the Backstreet Boys).
If Comunica were stranded on a desert island, Hanna would be the calm presence keeping everyone grounded. And if she could teleport anywhere for lunch? Straight to the Greek island of Amorgos — a bucket-list destination that she can’t wait to transport herself to. For real, this time!
