Magda,
Project Manager

A Talented Project Manager with a Talent for Peacekeeping

Magda is one of our Project Managers, and she thrives on teamwork – whether it’s collaborating with colleagues or simply making sure everything runs like clockwork. And with a Bachelor’s Degree in Scandinavian Studies and a Master’s in Project Management, her educational background is perfectly tailored for her role at Comunica.

If you ask her to explain her job to a five-year-old, she’ll say it’s about finding people who can change words from one language to another and then making sure they have everything they need to do it well. Her real superpower, though, is that no matter how impossible a problem looks at first, she and the team always manage to crack it. She feels like a total rock star when a project glides along without a single bump, and she’s especially proud of mastering the art of switching her tone depending on who she’s talking to – no small feat for someone who grew up in a culture where formality rules.

Her colleagues like to poke fun at her for eating beans for lunch almost every day (she swears she can cook other things, but no one’s caught her at it yet). If there’s karaoke involved, she’ll belt out Don’t Stop Believin’ with zero hesitation, and at work you’ll often hear her signature line: ‘I’ll get back to you ASAP.’ On her desk you’ll always find a snack within arm’s reach, because she knows priorities.

After work, she loves going for a run – it’s her way of pressing reset – and when she’s not pounding the pavement, she’s probably dabbling in oil painting. Thanks to the Scandinavians in the office, she’s also developed a surprising fondness for liquorice sweets. Sushi is her teleportation dream lunch (preferably all-you-can-eat), and she’s the type of person who can turn any gathering into a good time by organising the games and snacks.

One of her fondest memories with the team goes back to her very first activity day in Mijas, when they had paella for lunch and a cosy dinner in the evening – it instantly made her feel part of the Comunica family. And she still brings that same caring touch to the team, even in small ways, like cranking up the heating in winter to make sure nobody’s shivering. If the team were stranded on a desert island, she’d immediately step into her role as Island Project Manager, keeping everything (and everyone) on track. For Magda, Comunica can be summed up in just one word: Family.
